As Europe and the United States tighten environmental regulations on commercial refrigeration, retailers demand eco-friendly cooling solutions with lower carbon footprint throughout the whole product lifespan. Snowsea integrates circular design into every phase: raw material selection, low-carbon manufacturing, energy-saving daily operation and end-of-life recycling, fully complying with EU REACH, RoHS, F-Gas Regulation, Ecodesign (ERP) standards and US EPA requirements.

Circular Design Commercial Freezer

1. Eco-friendly & Recyclable Raw Materials

· Adopt natural refrigerant R290 (GWP=3, ODP=0) to cut greenhouse gas emissions, phasing out high-GWP fluorinated refrigerants.

· Patented fully detachable seamless food-grade PP inner liner. Unlike conventional fixed liners permanently glued with PU foam, our liner can be fully separated. It avoids mixed composite waste at disposal and enables independent plastic recycling. Custom anti-mold additives are added for humid tropical & coastal stores.

· CFC/HCFC-free cyclopentane polyurethane insulation, low-adhesion formula to simplify future disassembly.

· Recyclable steel, copper and aluminum components; low-VOC sealing strips free of restricted hazardous substances. We follow Design for Disassembly (DfR) principles.

2. Low-carbon & Waste-controlled Manufacturing

Metal and plastic production scraps are sorted and 100% recycled. Refrigerant filling and foam production adopt sealed facilities to prevent gas leakage. We reduce disposable plastic packaging and upgrade energy-efficient production equipment to lower factory carbon emissions. Modular component design supports partial spare part replacement instead of whole-machine scrapping, extending service life.

3. Lower Energy Consumption During Operation

High-efficiency inverter cooling system plus thickened insulation cuts daily power consumption, meeting EU energy label standards and US ENERGY STAR specifications. The detachable liner eliminates hygiene dead corners, prevents mildew corrosion, avoids premature equipment failure and prolongs service time. Optional triple-layer tempered glass doors reduce cold loss and save energy.

4. Pollution Reduction & Optimized End-of-Life Recycling

Traditional display cabinets create massive inseparable mixed waste (steel, plastic and bonded foam) when scrapped. Snowsea modular construction enables easy separation of metal shell, PP liner, insulation foam and cooling components. Metals can be fully smelted and reused; detachable plastic liners go through pelletizing recycling. Residual R290 refrigerant is safely recovered instead of direct release. Hazardous waste such as waste compressor oil is processed by certified professional institutions to avoid soil and water contamination. Our design drastically reduces non-recyclable mixed waste.
